What? The Golden Shoestring is the primary fundraiser of the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound (JLWOS). Proceeds from this "nearly new" shop support community projects and help fund scholarships and community grants. The Golden Shoestring is located in Larchmont, one half block west of Boston Post Road at 149 Larchmont Avenue. Community Impact The needs of the neighboring communities drive the Golden Shoestring toward continued success. The year 2000 marked the 50th anniversary of the opening of the first Junior League of Westchester on the Sound thrift store. The Golden Shoestring provides a greatly needed service to community residents: Quality merchandise at reasonable prices. How? Our inventory is made up entirely of your donated goods. Greater donations result in greater sales and allow the JLWOS to return even more profits to the community, making a larger impact within our focus area of women and children. You Can Help!
